Project Barista combines two of our greatest passions, beer and coffee, and plays with the relationship between them. Four unique beers, four kinds of coffee used in different ways, in collaboration with four incredible independent roasters. Building on Mucha Mocha (no mean feat), this imperial stout is injected with coffee at every possible step of the process, swirling through rich, smooth cocoa.

440ml can. Pours pitch black with a small head. Aroma is strong bitter coffee with a little blackcurrant. Taste has sweet milk chocolate and strong bitter coffee.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 27th July 2024. Solid, impenetrably black with tan foam and spot lacing. Rich and intense roastiness in aroma with dark chocolate truffles. Intense coffee and dark chocolate in-mouth with sour cherry fruits. A lasting finish of fiery chocolate truffle and burnt toffee. Full bodied with a velvet smooth mouthfeel. Utterly exquisite. Perhaps beer of Twenty Twenty Four
