It’s plain and simple… like all good sessionable darks. Conjured with a malt bill of Simpson’s finest Golden Promise, Oat malt, Brown Malt and Roast Barley and with a traditional addition of East Kent Goldings and Bramling Cross leaf for the purpose of bittering this beer does what it says on the tin… a no nonsense lovingly made plain porter with which to gaze the winter fire.

Daffodils do grow in the southern hemisphere, but you're most likely to see them around October time. The Wylam Brewery is currently experiencing plenty of them in the park grounds outside its fine building. This porter inside is very plain, and that's not a pun on its name. Drinkable but nothing too exciting about it. Black

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Black body with a thick beige head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of blueberry and woody malt. Flavour of dark chocolate and cranberry. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Dark and robust. Impressive depth for the ABV.

Near black with a frothy beige head and a soft roasted malt aroma, just a hint of dark fruit going on. Dry and slightly bitter, you’ve got roasted malt and coffee with hints of chocolate and dark fruit in the mix
