330ml panda from LCB. Black pour with small tanned head. Aroma of dark malts, chocolate, spice hints, biscuit, light roast. Nice balance to the flavour with chocolate, cinnamon, biscuit, roast, dark fruits. Medium to full bodied, fine carbonation, nice bitterness and mild alcohol warmth. Very nice indeed.

Keg at Heidrun, HWY, 23/02/24. Black topped with a lasting tan head. Nose is chocolate chunks, cookie dough, dark malts, toffee, mellow roast. Taste comprises chocolate chip ice cream, toffee, balanced roast, light spice balance, biscuit crumb. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of alcohol. Not bad if perhaps lacking some depth to the flavour for an 8.4% jobbie.

440ml can. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate and vanilla, mildly biscuity. Taste is sweet, chocolate, vanilla, a little biscuit, the cinnamon and nutmeg are almost absent, very subtle - which is good, I don't think they belong in cookie dough. Medium bodied. A solid stout. Not overly adjunct-y which might be a good thing depending on your stance, just not sure it fully captures the cookie dough vibe.

Can picked up at Fierce Brewery Taproom. It pours jet black with a decent dark tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, vanilla, baked goods, warming spice, chocolate, cookie dough, nutty and praline. The taste is dry, rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, slick, plenty of chocolate, toasted hazelnut, nutella, praline, cookie dough, warming spice, burnt toast, warming alcohol and some earthiness with a dry, toasty finish. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Definitely a dessert ale. If truth be told I find this a bit too much, too sweet. For those with a sweet tooth.
