Sample from 33 cl bottle. Pitch black with a thin tanned head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, oaked notes and vanilla. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes drying and fruity with coffee. Nice.

Tap at Bishops Arms Γ–stersund. Lovely barrel smell, slightly duchesse like sour. Nice colour. Taste is far too much though, too sweet, not enough about carry the whisky with bitterness (13/3/18). Rerated same place. Actually loved this this time. Nice oak / barrel aroma. Smooth to drink. Light yet full bodies enough. 3.2 to 3.7

330ml bottle. Pours a clear dark brown almost black with red hue and a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla and oak with just a hint of whiskey. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, molasses, whiskey, peat, ash, vanilla and oak with a dry, mildly bitter finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, slightly sticky texture and soft carbonation. Tasty, well balanced and has some complexity.

330 ml bottle. Pours balck with a moderate lightish tan head. Aromas of creamy coffee, light peat and earth, and soft roasted malts. Flavors follow same with a little green oak and an odd, hard to place sweet plastic like whisky note, Good.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out light coffee, toasted malt, and some subdued whiskey. Flavour is along the same lines, with subdued whiskey, coffee, and toasted malt. Subdued but pleasant. Works well.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown with a darkish tan head. Aroma is mostly chocolate with a slight hint of Irish whiskey. Med body or so. Flavor is chocolate, rather dark, with dark malt and a detectable amount of whiskey that's definitely not Bourbon or peated Scotch. Staves must have been a bit dry; it could use a stronger whiskey note. Nice drink tho. Fairly towards dry, and bitter enough in an earthy way.

330 ml bottle into snifter, bottled on 11/20/2017. Pours fairly opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky light khaki head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, nuttiness, whiskey, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, charcoal, coconut, vanilla, dark fruit, herbal, grass, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of roast/bready malt, whiskey staves, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, nuttiness, whiskey, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, charcoal, coconut, vanilla, dark fruit, herbal, grass, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/peppery hop, roast/char bitterness; and whisky/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, nuttiness, whiskey, toasted oak, dark/brown bread, smoke, char, coconut, vanilla, herbal, grass, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malt, whiskey staves, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a nice roast/hop bitter/sweet and whiskey/oak spiciness balance; with no acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from hop/char bitterness and whiskey/oak spiciness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and sticky/chalky/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.1%. Overall this is a delicious whiskey/oak aged Stout. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of roast/bready malt, whiskey staves, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying hop/charred finish. As with most of these, the "barrel" presence isn't huge, but definitely adequate. Nice bready/roasted English malt complexity with balanced whiskey/oak notes. This tastes like more of a Foreign stout with the overall hop presence. A very enjoyable and well made offering.
