Boxed bottle from the lcbo. Black pour, large beige head. Very roasty, light fruit, some smoke, hints of earthy barrel and soft vanilla. Soft carb, light mouth feel. Medium bitter, very roasty, but subtly sweet and a solid chocolate finish with some nice barre notes.

Bottle from the LCBO. Super dark mahogany with a tiny dark khaki head that quickly fades to a sheet . Nose is cocoa, coffee, dark fruit, vanilla, oak and a hint of smoke. Light+ chocolate sweetness with a medium- coffee bitterness. Mouth is quite thin with soft carbonation and a slightly sweet finish. 8/4+/7+/3/15

Bottled. Deep brown colour with a mediumsized creamy white head. Aroma is roasted malts, some sweet toffee, coffee and mild wet smoked wooden tones to it. Flavour is somewhat peated, leathery, with some roasted toffee and coffee tones as well as some slight edge of diacetyl. Still quite a smooth stout

(Bottle) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with liquorice, black rye bread, oak wood, whiskey, tobacco, vanilla, honey and roasted nuts. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black bread, chocolate, liquorice, coffee, vanilla, oak wood, tobacco and a mild roasty bitterness. Medium body, quite sweet. Rich and tasty, with lots of liquorice and chocolate, and a balanced wood character. One of the better Innis & Gunn beers I've tried. Very nice.

No mention of Tullamore DEW on my bottle, just 'carefully selected Irish whiskey barrels'. 330ml bottle; BBE Jan 2020. Poured into my thistle shaped Gordon Finest Gold glass at home on 13th Mar 2020, 41 days after it's BBD. Looked fabulous, dark body full tanned head. One of the best Innis & Gunn beers I've had. This is lovely, no sweetness that I associate with these guys, just a malty, chocolatey Stout with a slight whiskey twist within it's make up.

Bottle. Extremely dark with next to no head. The barrel-ageing is perhaps most evident in its nose, with the additions of vanilla smoothing out the taste and texture of this stout, so there’s not a lot of roasted to be found. I found hints of mint in here.

Dark brown pour. Foamy head. Coffee nose. Taste of chocolate, brown sugar, sorghum, coffee, and vanilla with an oak palate.
