Cask (gravity) @ GBBF 2016, [ Great British Beer Festival 2016 ], London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Refuge Grapefruit IPA ].Clear light to medium orange yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, grapefruit, orange - citrus, zest, sweet tropical fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, tangarin, orange, fruity hops. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. [20160811] 7-2-7-3-13

Cask at GBBF'16, day three, 11/08/16. Golden orange with a moderate off white covering. Nose is bitter orange, mango, bread dough, straw. Taste comprises astringent bitter notes, toasted grains, orange peel, lemon. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close. Not great.

Cask gravity @ GBBF 2016. Pours a hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty grapefruit hoppy aroma. Fruity malty grassy grapefruit hoppy bitter flavor. Has a fruity malty grapefruit hoppy finish.

Can. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with earth.

Pours bright orange, even a bit reddish. Aroma is not really what I expected, feels sort of too usual. Just bready. Taste has loads of grapefruit, not much else. Grapefruit seed bitterness in the finish. Not bad but also not among the best grapefruit IPA’s I have had.

Golden amber color. Big grapefruit mouth but not that balanced. White grapefruit everywhere. Ok.

GBBF Day 3. Cask. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has low carbonation. Smooth pale malts, pretty sweet. Mellow grapefruit and light orange. Light finish. A sweetish IPA lacking condition. Okay.

On draft at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Fruity nose. Flavors of grapefruit. Bitter finish.

Cask at GBBF 2016. It pours clear amber with a small, bubbly white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, perfumed, brown bread, grapefruit, earth and some meatiness. The taste is smooth, mellow bitterness, pine, oily, sticky, tinned grapefruit, lemonade and alcohol sting with a dry finish. Medium body, soft carbonation and slightly tacky mouth - feel. Aroma is a bit flat. OK I suppose.
