Bottle at home. Aroma is sweetish bready malt, straw, touch of caramel, slight dried fruity notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Lots of sweet malts, a bit too much for my taste.

Fles gedeelt met LiekevdV. Het is een roodbruin bier met een volle beige schuim. Het heeft een moutige wat gistachtige geur. De smaak is moutig, zacht zoet en wat waterig.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam,18 Feb 2016) Dark amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with orange peel, marmalade and black-currant. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of caramel, orange peel, roasted cereal, dried apricots and a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite tasty and well balanced, but it’s hardly a dunkel (possibly an amber lager/vienna). Quite enjoyable.

Clear golden. Dense and persistent off-white head and lacing. Aroma of caramel and moderate hops, with just the slightest touch of mature septic. Quite neutral taste, although not better than it has to be.
