0.3 l bottle from AH (Sittard), best before August 2019. Clear, dark red with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and a bit roasty aroma of caramel, nuts, some brown sugar and a touch of raisins. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and minimally roasty taste of caramel, chocolate, nuts, brown sugar and hints of raisins, followed by a short, slightly bitter, minimally roasty and a little yeasty finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay, quite tame but pleasant.

330ml bottle poured in De Oude Jan, Delft - Brown body with an off white head. Nose and taste both have caramel, toasted malts and some sugar which makes it sweet in a nice smooth way. Decent enough, and one I’d have again.

Tap, vintage 2011 at Huppel the Pub, Den Haag. Poured a murky medium brown with a frothy white head. The aroma is rich sweet malt, aromatic hop. The flavour is moderate sweet with a sweet malt grainy, light alcohol, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. This has aged really well.
