Three dollar single from Blue Door. Clear Solo cup at home right before some grilling. Dark pour but just a bit less than black, with some brown. Uniform & lathery cookie dough head. Sweetly spiced, coffee creamer, gentle roast on the nose. Sharp & thin, mild roast, cola, mellow spice, cocoa powder, salt. Forceful carb, papery finish. Noticable steel & nutty coffee as it warms. Very simple.

12oz can. I have never had a great American Belgian stout...and still haven't. Awkward yeast tones, right next door to infected. Not that enjoyable.

Odd beer. The modest Belgian esters provide an underlying fruitiness, and chocolate and roast are on the forefront, along with a moderate salinity. Finishes with a lingering saccharine bitterness; almost tastes like sugar-free dark chocolate at times. Muddled, not great.
