Avellana is our new imperial stout flavoured with hazelnuts and aged in bourbon barrels.
It pours a deep, opaque black with a rich, tan head. Aromas of roasted malt mingle with notes of toasted hazelnuts, creating an enticing bouquet. On the palate, the beer delivers a velvety smooth mouthfeel, with flavors of dark chocolate, sweet bourbon and espresso. The hazelnut character adds a delightful nuttiness and subtle sweetness to balance the beer’s robust roasted malt profile. With a warming alcohol presence and a lingering nutty finish, this imperial stout is a decadent treat for those who appreciate bold, flavorful brews.

330 ml bottle. Pours black with short fizzy tan head. Aromas of hazelnuts, chocolate, vanilla, and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same with more intense syrupy chocolate and salty hazelnuts plus subtle sweet bourbon. Rich and tasty.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Black, no head. Aroma of coffee, milk chocolate and roasted hazelnuts. Very sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Syrup and milk chocolate, roasted hazelnuts. Sticky, warming finish. Treads well into sticky territory.

330mL bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Nose brings out deep roasted hazelnuts upfront, accentuated by burnt dark sugars and bourbon barrels further back. Flavour is full of intense roasted hazelnuts, dark dried fruits, and bourbon barrels to round things off. Very fruity roasted hazelnut character that I’ve not encountered before.

330mL bottlel. Pours black with a small tan head. Tons of hazelnuts on the nose with some bourbon underneath. Flavour is very nutty; a solid roasty base with a ton of hazelnuts and warm boozy bourbon barrels. The nuts have a slightly tart, dried currant-like quality. Dry on the finish. This is an excellent nutty imperial stout.

Bottle (from Alko web). Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is hazelnuts, chocolate syrup, some mild alcohol and a bit bourbony elements too. Flavour is boubon, mild vanilla, lots of hazelnuts, chocolate syrupy tones with some slight spicy tones. Really smooth.

Roasty, nutty and sweetish with some syrup, stingy wood, bourbon, vanilla, coffee, cocoa and hazelnutty chocolate sauce, hints of earthiness and boozy notes. A bit harsh and stingy, but otherwise quite complex and tasty
