Bradford CAMRA Beer Festival 2026, Beer#28. The softest tasting texture so far at the festival. It has wheat beer qualities about it, despite not being one, some white chocolate taste, mild fruit, seems at odds with some of its own beer notes, but excellent regardless.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours golden yellow with a sizeable white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly sweet malts with some hints of citrus. In the mouth it is bittersweet with a creamy texture, and a mix of traditional and floral hops. Plus corn, grains and traces of citrus and spice. Bitterness increases in the slightly dry finish. This is decent.

Cask handpull at The Fly in the Loaf, Liverpool. Great brewery Acorn, so I was excited to see this on. Hazy gold, thick beige head. Is this a wheat beer I see before me? According to the Acorn website, no. Lemon citrus aroma, large in mouth, plenty of depth and wide mouthfeel, possibly from the addition of some other cereal. Then great hoppy lemon/grapefruit finish. Really lovely, slightly creamy due to the use of a sparkler on the dispense.
