Can sample at a tasting at troubles' place. Thanks Ariel. Deep red-amber. Malt, toastiness, a bit vegetal, lager yeast, a bit of caramel, a bit sweetish, bitterish finish.

Can from City Beer Store. Beautiful aroma of malt, with faint roast. Moderate dark fruit in support. Clear mahogany with Pearl-khaki head that slowly dissipates. Fluffy. Flavor is rich malt and fruit cake. Slight roast. Malt and roast linger long. Moderate height carbonation. Wonderful.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated August 6, 2020. Aroma is malt forward with lots of toasted bread and lighter notes of caramel, biscuit and toffee. Hints of chocolate, roast and nuts. Faint herbal hop note. Pours dark brown with some auburn and amber hues on the edges with a medium large, thick, creamy tan head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Moderately high lacing and no legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with fairly strong malt notes. Lots of biscuit, toasted bread and crackers notes with lighter caramel and toffee. Faint chocolate and roast notes. Moderate bitterness with light herbal, spicy hop notes. Hints of alcohol. Mouthfeel is light bodied and a bit crisp with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really solid lager. Tons of dark, toasted malt character with balanced bitterness and hop character. Fairly crisp for all the malt character.
