Brett table beer
A small beer, simply built on pilsner malt, Connecticut grown, malted and flaked wheat with aged Wakatu hops and a well developed, bright brett fermentation character suitable to be drank fresh for more expressive hop character or aged for additional subtleties.

Bottle shared in Hackney - sourced from Beergium. Bit of a slow gusher. Pours clear gold with a billowing, frothy white head. Nice aroma, crisp brett, lemon peel, flaked wheat. Light sweet flavour with a little lemony tang, moderate funky brett, more citric notes, dry funk. Light bodied with explosive, mouth-filling carbonation. Clean finish, lightly drying, some further brett funk, grass, wheat. Great stuff. Very refreshing.

Bottle at LKS - thanks to the host. It pours clear pale greenish yellow with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, funky, brett, green apple, pear skin, sherbet, lemon and limeade. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, earthy, funky brett, musty, hay, soda water, lemon rinse, green apple and hay with a dry finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Carboantion is too high and foamy. Fun anyhow.

Pours pale yellow into a shaker. Bright white head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Mild brett and lemon citrus aromas. Watery and thin (and easily downed) with citrus upfront turning to mild aspirin in the lasting finish.

Draught at Lower Depths, 11/14/16.
Beautifully shimmering, lightly hazy lime-bronze-tinted white golden body is topped by a large white head that steadily fades to a ring.
Powerful nose at first gives acetic suggestions with a soft, subtle, horsey funk in the background. With some time, the acetic character fades, leaving strong brett acids in its wake and very light biscuit and cracker-like malts. No flaw or alcohol.
The flavor is quite different than the nose would suggest, being filled with lime, light vanilla, guava, passion fruit and honey. Great balance of malt and brett, though tending more to the tart/acidic side, as it should. Tight carbonation, with a soft texture and high drinkability. As with most of their beers, there’s nothing flashy here, but yet it’s perfectly clean and well-done.

Tap at Miso Hoppy while I pick out beers for poker and a trade. Nice hazy golden pour. Nose is bretty and some citrus. Tastes light but of grass, hay, plenty of Brett and some lime citrus. Zesty and crisp palate. Quite pleasant beer you could pound al day guilt free.
