On tap at Goose Island - Shoreditch, pours a cloudy filthy brown with a small white head. Aroma seems very dirty, with whiskey barrels and earthy fruits. Flavour is filthy, with lots of dirty yeast, whiskey barrels, and bready malt. Filthy, yeasty and caramel. Not the worst barley wine out there, but it's OK. I suppose I got a sedimenty pour from the bottom of the barrel…

Keg at the brewpub. Aroma is sweet and dark fruity with a boozy edge. Clear dark brown. No head. Sweet dark dough. Dark fruits. Spice. Full on boozy bitterness. Medium bodied. Oily. Long astringent finish. Boozy Barley Wine.

On tap at Shoreditch brewpub. Pours a dark copper with beige head that lasts. The aroma is licorice, dark fruit, toffee. Slick body, raisin, licorice, caramel, boozy finish, very good.

Keg at Goose Island Shoreditch, 19/04/22. Dark mahogany brown with a beige cap that clears to edging and a swirl. Nose is ripe old bourbon, spice, oak, coconut fudge, liquorice, toffee. Taste comprises chocolate, toffee fudge, tobacco, dried fruits, cacao nibs, earthy tones, coconut shavings, bourbon xoak. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with a balanced rising boost. Solid flavoursome BA BW.

Keg at Goose Island Shoreditch - London. Pours clear copper with a small, off-white head. Medium to big sweet flavour, nice bourbon, caramel, dried fruits. Full bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, honey, more bourbon, toasted sugars. Delicious.
