4/12/2021. Bottle sample courtesy of SHIG. Pours almost black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, fruit, berries. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Moderate body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Not great.

Bottle at Haslemere tasting from Wingman. Aroma is malty with hints of coffee, liquorice and a metallic edge. Dark opaque brown. Foamy beige head is blotchy. Initial sour citrus and berries. Underlying malts add dull chocolate. Light bodied. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. It's OK but what is it really?
