After fermentation, the base of this beer was transferred into recently emptied local Canadian Whiskey barrels from Odd Society and Okanagan Spirits for 12 months deeply developing robust aromas of coconut, vanilla and rich chocolate with a complex undertone of whiskey and toasted oak.
Indulge in decadent flavours of fudge brownies, caramelized brown sugar and honey spiced whiskey.

355 ml can. Pours black with moderate tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, oats, oaky whiskey, and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same though more oak than whiskey. Dry. Good stuff.

Very dark, not much head. Lots of whiskey on the nose with deep brown sugars, toffee. A bit flat on the palate, some barrel heat, not all that refined, but this is definitely a step in the right direction. So I guess a barrel version of the window to a dark room?

Can from the brewery
Dark brown, almost black, the small head disappears quickly. Strong aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, some leather and alcohol. It's full bodied, yet with mild residual sweetness; strong roasted malt character, dark sugars, leather, spirit; it's hot, but overall it's excellent.

12oz @ home shared with Alex (thx for the beer, man!). Appearance: dark brown with quickly dissipating dark beige head. Aroma: American oak, some tartness, Taste: along the same lines, full-bodied, a bit boozy, slightly roasty, some dark fruits. Overall: pretty good.

On tap at Luppolo, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma has lots of whiskey barres, gentle smokiness, and dark sugars. Flavour is rich, with lots of deep whiskey barrels, moderate roast, light smokiness, dark sugars, and molasses. Really complex barrel character. Excellent.

Poured from the tap @ Luppolo. Very dark brown with minimal beige head. Nice big whiskey, brown sugar and chocolate aroma. Taste is a bit harsh and boozy, rough around the edges, but still decent.

3oz pour at brewery. Pours black with minimal beige head. Aroma has a bunch of whiskey barrels and a decent roast malt base. Flavour has roasted malts and lots of whiskey barrels. Boozy warmth on the finish. Profile has some depth, nice barrel character, good sipping beer.
