Black, looks inky. The aroma is peanut, caramel and vanilla. On the palate it has a lot of roasty bitterness. A bit unbalanced, actually, because the sweet/bitter elements aren't well-integrated. I like how rich this is for 8% but the integration of the different components is not dialed in. It's pretty clunky.

On tap at Superflux, pours jet black with a thick brown head. Aroma is full of peanut butter, lactose, caramel galore, and chocolate in pretty reasonable cohesion. Flavour is very adjunct-forward, with overwhelming caramel, cocoa, lactose, and PB powder. Nothing subtle about this, like a melted candy bar on steroids. A bit too artificial and, as usual, I dont think that PB powder works well. Another novelty beer. Meh.

8oz pour at brewery. Pours black with large brown head. Aroma has a ridiculous amount of cocoa powder, caramel, and peanut butter powder. Flavour is similarly dessert-like, tons of cocoa and peanut butter powder. The peanut butter powder does add a slightly unpleasant quality to it. A touch of bitterness and light alcohol burn on the finish. Very thick mouthfeel. Pretty brutal and unrefined.
