Much in the spirit of Soignée, this Farmstead® Wheat Ale was brewed with organic ingredients, conditioned in French oak wine barrels, and further conditioned on fruit pomace. In contrast, this version eschews the blood orange and lime of the progenitor for a differently articulate expression of each. After 16 months of residency in the wood, this beer was conditioned atop organic raspberry pomace—the colorful and aromatic remnant of our annual Harvest Fruit series. It seems delightful kismet that this would arrive in stride with the beer from which the fruit originally contributed.

750 ml bottle from Hill Farmstead brewery back in August of 2023. Bottled on December 16, 2022. Clear, brassy gold pour. Brief white head. Aroma of light malt and sweet raspberry. Some mild funk, as well. First sip is tart and zesty. Light in body, but fairly full of raspberry flavor. Mild oakiness and vinous notes. Soft mouthfeel. Very drinkable. Brief dry finish. Quite enjoyable.

750mL bottle. Pours murky yellow with white head. Aroma has gentle funk, golden raisins, buttery oak, raspberry. Flavour has funk, fresh raspberry, oak, some citric tartness. Complex, great raspberry expression; an excellent farmhouse-style beer.

Poured from 750mL bottle (conditioned since Dec 16, 2022). Chill hazed gold with small white head. Lots of raspberry on the nose. Mild vinous notes, feint funk, raspberry throughout. Each of the individual flavours are solid, but don't feel like all the flavours are totally cohesive together. Still quite nice.

Pale, just a touch of berry accent in that colour, with a bit of haze and a thin head. The aroma has a fair bit of raspberry. On the palate, it's got some tartness, fresh raspberry, a bit of acetic. This has a wheaty body, and it tastes fairly fresh. Pretty good.

750ml (thx, Alex M.G.) @ Sales Force. Appearance: hazy golden with some pint notes and a white head. Aroma: a lot of raspberries, some tartness, and rustic notes. Taste: along the same lines, low to moderately tart, nice raspberry character, there is even some very light sweetness from raspberries Overall: good one.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy bright golden orange with a small white head. Aroma has a refined raspberry character that combines very well with the wild yeast, accentuated by some oak tannins. Flavour is wonderfully complex, with lots of wild yeast, fermented out raspberry, plenty of oak, and a touch of acidity from the wine. Remarkably complex and well-integrated. Excellent.

750mL bottled Dec 16, 2022, drunk 7/15/23. Light haze, light pink. Small, pink head to ring. Delicate raspberry, light vanilla. Not massively aromatic outside the raspberry, but that raspberry is dynamite. Not too acidic at all. Hints of wine and very light wood with wheat-like nuttiness/blandness. Very clean. Light sourness, very round, deep malts with honey and cream of wheat character. Juicy raspberry throughout. Definitely needs more time to develop. Not quite as much culture character and maybe still too malty.
