Rated at Ryyppyliiteri. Sweetish, malty and caramely with some toffee, syrup, coffee and cocoa, hints of buttery popcorny bourbon and oak. Quite intense.

500ml (thx, Matt and Renny) @ Sales Force. Appearance: very dark brown with a pale beige head. Aroma: dark fruits, American oak, sweet, caramel. Taste: sweet, quite thick, a bit boozy, some little sourness, nice caramel notes, a lot of creamy notes coming from the oak. Overall: nice one.

500mL bottle. Pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma has raisins, brown sugar, bourbon, leather. Flavour has raisins, caramel, bourbon, leather; very sweet, boozy warmth on the finish. Good mouthfeel. Complex and well-integrated. Fantastic.

500mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is rich and complex, with lots of big bourbon barrels, toffee, caramel, brown sugar, and dark dried fruits. Flavour is very rich, with lots of brown sugar, toffee, dark dried fruits, and a touch of bourbon. Fairly sweet, with lots of sugars, dark dried fruits and caramel. Carb is a bit high, but there's a nice oiliness. Maybe not their most complex, but everything is well-integrated as usual. Excellent.

Bottle pour shared by ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! Virtually opaque dark brown with decent viscosity, thin head and no lacing. Aroma is strong sweet roasted malt, bourbon, raisin. Taste is bourbon, raisin, caramel/malt. Smooth texture, medium bodied with no sign of alcohol, finish as taste. Good for no-adjunct brew. Alcohol concealed. Good balance.

500 ml bottle shared by my boy, ClarkVV!! 2023 vintage. Aroma has soft tobacco, burnt toffee, and bold bourbon. Flavor follows with the addition of oaky vanilla, brown sugar with a lingering bourbon finish. Soft warming after the finish.

2023 bottle drunk 8/31/2024. Dark amber. Small, beige head clings to edge. Rich, peppery, English. Toffee, raisin, date, vanilla. Bourbon is well-done and not overdone. Does find some alcohol along the way, but that malt and barrel is killer. Rich toffee and actually some spicy licorice. Chewy, sweet, rich malts, but not syrupy. Vanilla, honey, maple. Malt galore. Nutty, buttery oak and mapley bourbon. Rich, to say the least. I don't know, there are some excellent elements but theres also a lot of flat, sweet malt character and breadiness. Maybe needs another year?
