On tap at Rewind, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma reveals grapefruit peel, some resinous hops, and bready malt. Flavour is full of bitter grapefruit peel, some resinous hops, earthiness, and some sweetness. Poorly balanced and integrated; just doesn’t come together.

[Updated on 30/11/25] On tap at Rewind. Pours clear gold with a white head. Smells like sour armpit sweat. Flavour is less sweaty with some sticky pine resin and grapefruit peels. The hop expression here is pretty poor, not great.
[24/09/25] 5oz pour at brewery. Pours clear gold with a white head. Aroma has resin, berries, sweet malt. Flavour has resin, pine, sweet berries, lots of sweet malts. Malt-forward, hop expression is pretty muddled though.

This doesn’t look good. It’s bright amber with no head…a flat IPA is not my thing. On the palate, it’s chewy, bitter, some orangey hop but the whole thing is whatever. It exists, does the 90s IPA thing but in a who gives a shit kind of way.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Copper-amber colour, slightly hazy. Mild aroma, not enough. Not nearly as malty as one would have expected, seen the colour; it oesn't have much malt flavour actually, not the sweet and pale kind, not the biscuitykind;, the bitterness has mild pithy character, but not enough hop quality.
Modest.
