0,33l waxed bottle at tasting at home. Black color, small coffee colored head. Smells vanilla, bourbon, spices, nutty, bit boozy. full body, light carbonation. Tastes bourbon, vanilla, wood, spices, nutty, light soy sauce, light coffee. Finishes lightly boozy / sweet with notes of bourbon, wood and light booze notes. Nice one, a tad boozy, good balance though

Dark brown, with a thin head. Sweet, brown sugar, coffee, alcohol. And lots of bourbon. This is refined. The base is a touch light, but there's no balance issues. The coffee lends this accent, and a bit of acidity, but this is working well for me. That coffee acidity is the one thing that holds it back from exceptional into merely excellent. But it is good shit.

330mL bottle. Pours deep dark brown with minimal tan head. Aroma has tons of bourbon, roast, chocolate, coffee. Flavour has a lot of bourbon and espresso. These flavours are very well-integrated with each other, but the beer lacks the unifying quality of a solid base beer; the palate is pretty thin and I'm not getting much character from the underlying stout. The use of barrels and adjuncts here is excellent (I especially appreciate the long aging process), but the base is wanting.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is potent, with intense espresso beans, followed by bourbon barrels, some vanillin, and sticky sugars. Flavour has plenty of bourbon and espresso, with some vanillin, light sugars, and more espresso. Reasonable combo of flavours. The real issue here is the usual: the body is very thin -- those base beers really need some work for the barrel to have the desired effect. Good espresso and bourbon, but the base isn't strong enough.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a bit of carbonation but very little head. Aromas of sweet bourbon, graham cracker, vanilla, figs, and slick roasted malts. Flavors of oaky bourbon, orange peel, sharp black coffee, vanilla, and oily roasted malts. Excellent.
