Vines is a series of oak aged wild ales that celebrates wine grapes in all manifestations.

Each batch is blended based on the grape varietal at hand, and fermented based on the state those grapes are in (whole cluster, de-stemmed, lightly pressed skins, etc.). The result is a unique collection of beers that incorporate wine grapes in all forms, and showcase process as much as ingredients.

Bottle from the brewery. Slightly cloudy yellow pour with a large white head. Aroma is sweet, and vinous, nice reisling notes, funky, pear, and apple skins. Bright mouth feel, lively carb. Funky, tart finish. Very acidic and vinous, lots of riesling notes with sharp citrus zest.

Pale and cloudy. Medium head. Tart, with a great vinous character. Balanced sugars, this is very good.

Bottle pour at Farmhouse Fest 2024. Pours cloudy yellow. Smells like gasoline. Flavour is better, vinous white wine, nice balance of fruity and tart. [The beer was rather warm by the time I tasted, which I suspect caused the off aroma.]

Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a large white foamy head with limited retention and some light lacing. Aroma of funky ester with some vinous notes as well as tart notes. Taste is a nice mix of vinous notes with some tartness and light grape flavors with some funky finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nice complex wild ale with good drinkability though quite strong on the funky side.

500ml (thx, Peter K.!) @ Andrey's. Appearance: clear blonde with almost no head. Aroma: funk, barrel, nice fruity notes. Taste: along the same lines, highly carbonated, low to moderate acidic. Overall: good one.

500mL bottle, pours a clear dull blonde with a small white head. Aroma is wonderfully effervescent, with lots of vinous notes, musty white wine grape skins, and moderate barnyard funk. Flavour is very vinous, with lots of white wine grape skins, champagne-like effervescence, some wild bugginess, and rustic saison yeast. Rustic, vinous, and vibrant, with aggressive carbonation that's totally fitting. Really nice stuff.
