Reviewed at the pub tonight on tap. Dark Brown with hardly any highlights, nor head, nor lacing. Just a light sticky, transparent coating around the glass... that does not last. Chocolate malty aromas with some notes of nuttiness, alcohol, hints of fruitiness from the apple Brandy, soy sauce. Slick mouthfeel, not too thick with a nice slow drying ending. Roasted barley base taste with some good bitterness building in the finish. Cacao and a fruity touch lingers. Nice to have Brandy in this one, as opposed to most of the Bourbon barrel for their Imperial Stout. Less rich, going down nicer.

A deep dark stout with no head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light soy sauce, alcohol warmth, light bourbon barrel notes, very nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, alcohol warmth, light soy sauce, light woody notes, very nice and smooth. On tap at Hautes Plaines location.
