Flight at brewery. Pours opaque dark brown with off-white head. Aroma has damp roasted malts. Flavour is much the same. Meh.

A deep dark brown lager with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, nice chocolate malt with dark fruits, light mineral notes, light treacle, pleasant. In mouth, a nice chocolate malt with dark fruits, light banana esters, light mineral notes, pleasant. On tap at brewery.

Brown colour with amber-copper highlights, a light-beige bubbly head, average retention and a few foamy spots of lacing. Roasted malt nose with chocolate notes, rusty water and coffee. The mouthfeel is slightly thinner and has a little dryness in the end. A mild toasty taste with the roasted grains and some light hops in the finish. A decent Schwarzbier with toasty notes and enough hops that goes down easily..
