We pushed the idea of the West Coast Ipa with lager yeast a bit further to be hazy, less bitter, but fully packed with hops, from the direction of the New England Ipa style with wheat malts, oatmeal, the freshest hops and an experimental yeast.

Tap at Hopa. Murky golden with a white head. Nose and taste are citruses, tropical fruits with a grainy rice touch in the aroma. Light, crisp bodied with soft carbonation. I still don’t see the point of cold IPAs, this is undeniably chuggable and tasty, but it’s a dry and thin NE pale, and that’s it.

330ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Piney, fruity, slightly citrusy and minimally grassy hoppy as well as sweet-ish, wheaty and oaty, pale malty background, notes of pineapple, lemon, some melon, whiffs of pine needles. Taste is dry, piney and fruity, slightly grassy and citrusy fruity hoppy, wheaty and oaty, minimally biscuity, pale malty basis with low residual sweetness, notes of pineapple, lemongrass, some lemon, a touch of lime, mineral overtones; lingering, moderately bitter, minimally chalky finish. Watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Clean, focussed, refreshing, drinkable - very nice.

On tap at madhouse. A very pleasant and super drinkable cold IPA. Very hoppy, lots of new west coast hops (sabro?) with nice tropical and fruity notes. Pine and hoppy in general. Nice.

Tap at Karavella Sörbár, Pécs, Hungary. Pours hazy pale gold, with fine white foam. Aroma is a little lemony and herbal. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is medium bitter. Final is average. Overall, nice and fresh, easy-drinking.

On tap. Hazy yellow body with a white head. Huge mango notes in the aroma with some pineapple, berries. Very fruity but there is also a bit of oats to it to make it a bit spicy too. Taste is what you expect from the aroma. Mango and pineapple dominates, but oats, berries and a hint of chalk show up too. Quite sweet, I think it can use a bit of dryness. The finish leaves some grape seed like bitterness for a while. Medium body and average carbonation. Nice IPA.
