From old tasting notes. Bright reddish brown color. Big bubbly beige head. Fruity malt aroma. Interesting toasted malt flavor with obvious raspberry influence. Unique and refreshing.

Odd but not bad. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a nice copper color with a small tan head. There is a light sour aroma that was a bit disappointing. The flavor is malty and sour with a definite raspberry taste. There is a bitterness that lingers.

Price paid: $6.99 for a 6-pack Nice deep amber, but very small head that goes away quickly. Smell leaves something to be desired for. I bought this for two reasons: seasonal and the word "nutmeg" on the label. Nutmeg, my favorite spice, is nowhere to be found in the aroma. It does have a slight raspberryish type smell, but it almost smells like cheap extract (which is might very well be). OK, I can taste the nutmeg a tiny bit, but it's masked by a cheap raspberry taste... I love raspberries, but not this beer. Mouthfeel is actually kinda weird... reminds me a bit of a ginger ale feel. Not impressed. As far as seasonals go, this one is not in the "better" category. I suppose I should have known to stay away from the new Pete's.

2003 Draft in Rochester. Tastes like it is contract brewed by Lipton. Alcoholic version of Brisk. Though more carbonated and worse tasting. Drainpour.

My favorite seasonal! Nothing is better than going to the local supermarket and seeing pete's winter on the shelf. Love the look of this beer. The flavor is cranberry with a aftertaste of nutmeg. In my humble opinion the beer is worth it for the color alone. Goes great with a snowy winter day by the fire.

Nice dark brown colour, faint raspberry and malt smell...nice taste....not much to it, but all in all a decent seasonal beer to get away from the spices and get towards the fruit!

Like the other Pete''s seasonals, this beer is really nothing special. Pours a dark amber color with a thin beige head. Raspberry, malt and cinnamon in the aroma but in small quantity. Flacor is light raspberry and spice, but again nothing asserts itself. I can take it or leave it.

Tastes like some kind of home-made raspberry syrup that's been left in the cellar for far too long!
