I paid 15 bucks for a growler of this stuff. I'm not sure it was worth it, but this is god beer none-the-less - Totally opaque, compact tan head - aroma of the sea, chocolate, coffee (an odd combination, but it works) - hints of roasted malts, perhaps caramel, a touch of bakers chocolate and bitterness - finishes with a touch of sea salt - I can think of no better beer to compliment seafood - a great dry stout.

On tap in Boston. Magnificent pour. Deep opaque black color, nice thick burnt white head, big and roasty looking. Typical dry stout aroma - that is to say, very little aroma. A hint of sweetness or something. Begins very smooth and moderately bitter. Good dry barley flavor with some mild roastiness coming in. Finish is complex and has some nutty flavors, a bit of smoked wood. Body is medium, with an even lightly salty texture towards the end. Some hints of sweetness as well, maybe a touch of oysters. More flavor and less thinning than other dry stouts I've had (*cough* guiness *cough*).
