Bottle @ Home. Pours dark brown with a creamy brown head, lacings. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, little coffee, licorice. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, light coffee, rich english licorice, light alcohol. Medium body, soft to average carbonation, sweet finish with light alcohol warmth. 060920

Shared 500 ml bottle. Black colour, tan head. Aroma and flavour of roast malts, liquorice, tar and coffee. Quite good.

Endelig er det tid for RBHD-møte, denne gangen ombord på Fridtjofen, og vi nærmer oss de siste doseringer i kveldens behandling av diagnosen (Repetitive Beer Hunting Disorder): brunsvart med fint beige skum som varer. Engelsk lakrids, franskbrent espresso, overmodne brombær, urtebitterhed. Ræt lækker, tør og overbevisende.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a dense, brownish head. Rough, roasty nose with a distinct smoky edge and some British licorice. Rich, full body, again heavy roast and dense licorice notes with the smoke following you all the way through. Roasty bitter finish. Feels much more potent than 7,8%! 171019

Bottled. A black beer with a brown shine under a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, spices, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

50 cl bottle. Pours dark brown to black. Small brown head. Aroma is breadish and roasted malty. Slight chocolate note. Roasted, liqourice and chocolate. Bitter and dark malty. Lingering liqourice finish.

[ As Viborg Eftertanke ].
ABV: 7.8%. Clear dark black brown colour with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt - sod, dark fruit, raisin, prune, licorice, moderate chocolate - coffee, light molasses, smoke, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, initial licorice - salty licorice, then more like dark fruit - raison - prunes, dark malt, roasted, coffee - chocolate, sweet malt - molasses, burnt - sod bitter, light smoke. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20191230]
