We're calling this a "Resplendent" Double IPA because of it's sumptuous flavors and vivid aromatics through the experimentation of cold fermentation and biotransformation of hop oils. It has more of a West Coast-style hop derived haze in the visual sense, but we can say for certain it's one of the more flavor-focused hoppy beers we've made. Double dry hopped with Simcoe & Mosaic, file this under R&D - Radness & Development.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated January 6, 2021. WTF Whole Foods, how do you even have 3 month old Alvarado to sell? I guess I need to do a better job of looking at can dates. Aroma is moderately hoppy with grapefruit, orange and pine resin. Light tropical fruit notes. Light cracker malt notes and hints of alcohol. Pours a slightly hazy, pale gold color with a medium large, thick, pillowy white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with light cracker malt notes and hints of caramel. Moderately strong bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderate notes of grapefruit, orange and tropical citrus. Lighter notes of passion fruit and mango with light dank, resin notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid DIPA that and held up better than I expected considering it's 4 months old. The aroma has definitely degraded, but the flavor is still bright and fruity.

16 oz. can, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out herbal hops, some pine, and biscuity malt. Flavour reveals piney hops, light herbal notes, and biscuity malt. Piney and cerealy. Good stuff.

Can from Berkeley Bowl West. Pours brassy gold with a white head. Aroma is so tropically mixed I won't parse it. Dang near full bodied. Flavor is dankly resin, but there are quite a few fruits. I'm going with green melon, passion fruit and perhaps mango. Citrus too. It is so strongly hopped and flavored that mouth fatigue looms quickly. Very dry for me. Extremely hoppy. Very bitter. I am surprised the hop burn isn't stronger. It is stunning, but very pleasing. Great stuff.

Can. Pours clear golden, large creamy white head, dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Nice dank, tropical aroma, mango, melon, pot, hints of green tea. Flavor is light plus sweet, light plus bitter, juicy. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. One of their greatest hits, IMO>
