100ml draught at The Mall Tavern. Almost black in the glass, tiny beige head, spotty lacing. Rather sweet aromas of vanilla chocolate. Blended taste profile of coffee-chocolate, lactose beneath. Rounded roasted finish with rather sweet chocolate malts. Pretty good in smaller amounts. (Kensington, London 01.03.2026).

On keg at Pig and Whistle, Gleadless - jet black body with a firm lasting tan head. Big nose of sweet milky coffee and vanilla. Got loads of dusty cocoa and coffee in the drink, really creamy mouthfeel, lush. And potentially very underestimatable.

440ml can as part of a delivery from the brewery. Drunk at home. Colour is mid- to dark brown, a little bit translucent with a small swirl of tan head. Aroma is gorgeous. Decadent vanilla-laden cake, overcreamed coffee, fudge syrup, a suggestion of booze. Tastes very sweet without being too sweet. All the flavours are here: caramel, chocolate, coffee, sweet cream. Medium body and carbonation. Exemplary finish. Only thing I can say against is is I want more, more, more! Is there, by chance, an imperial version?

Keg, third of a pint in the Pelican (Gloucester) on 20th December 2024. Sweet from start to finish, it is like a liquid Tiramisu, a third was enough!

Spotty beige head on a near black still body. Chocolate, coffee & vanilla aroma. Medium to full, smooth & creamy with a clean back. Vanilla, chocolate, coffee, lactose & cherry tastes with a tangy finish. Luxurious.
