A traditionally brewed brown ale with a malt forward flavor and a comforting roasted chocolate malt finish that lingers on the palate. No nuts in this brew; it gets its name from the street it was conceived on.

Mediocre brown, with a toasted caramel malt base, but lacking complexity, growing mild and yeasty on the back end with a slight roasty bitterness. Cocoa and pumpernickel float around the edges, but the finish comes across watery and bland, undercut by metallic notes and hints of black tea. Not enough character for a solid American brown.

On tap at Chattanooga, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, light earthiness and a bit of caramel. Flavour is cloyingly sweet, with medicinally sweet caramel, cough syrup, and bready malt. Way too syrupy and sweet. Not good.
