Draught at the brewery on 6/12/15.
Fizzy sort of light amber fellow with a small off-white head that recedes quickly to a ring. Mildly hazy.
Heavy ester/phenol profile outdoes even the coriander, showing light banana, strawberry, apple, etc...Don’t get too much bubble gum or cotton candy, thankfully. Very light citric hoppiness; would not have guessed there were citra here. Spicy and moderately sweet, even in the nose, with some acidity on the end balancing nicely.
Very strange texture, before even noticing the flavor. Both fizzy from the weird carbonation and yet with creamy or almost sticky elements from the oats and wheat. I don’t nearly like malted wheat as much as unmalted. Gives an almost crystal malt-like hardness. Caramel sweetness joins the mix while moderately acidic fruitiness (spoiled peaches, bananas, apples) emerges on the end. Zesty lemon and coriander are not overdone, but are certainly pushing it. Hate to throw the "too much going on" card, as that usually is a bad excuse for a poor rating, but this one may just be doing a lot of different things and it’s hard to find cohesion. Even for a light witbier-like wedding chugger, it’s too sweet, fizzy and with too much coriander and acid.

5 oz. taster from @ the brew pub. On 25 May, 2013. Pale straw color with a white head. Smells of zesty citrus rinds, weak spice and wheat make up the aroma. Medium-bodied. The mouthfeel is indeed creamy. The flavor is mostly the same as the nose with oranges and lemons having the main flavors. The hops are not real noticeable. Spice is real light which is nice, (I hate getting blasted with coriander ) It’s a basic example of the style and very good to session.
