After brewing B.O.R.I.S. The Crusher successfully for many years, our creative minds wander. We imagine a B.O.R.I.S. brewed with even better dark grain - the finest imported dark grain - for a smoother and mellower deep-roasted flavor. When we finally made our dreams become reality, it was a symphony of beautiful flavors, a higher level of B.O.R.I.S. born from our creativity, that deserves the name B.O.R.I.S. Reserve!

Bottle at RateBeer Best. Pours black with medium tan head that lasts. The aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, wood. Thick body, chewy roast, dark chocolate, wood, nice sweetness, boozy finish, enjoyed this.

650ml bottle. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, hints of syrup, cocoa and vanilla. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and syrupy with some coffee, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla and licorice. Finish is roasty and earthy with some coffee, chocolate, licorice and cocoa. Heavy and roasty, but balanced IS, quite similar to regular BORIS.

65 cl bottle @ olio
Aroma is sweet and heavy with cocoa and licorice. Also mild coffee tones. Flavour has cocoa powder, dark chocolate, licorice and mild saltyness that grows stronger towards the finish. Quite close to the original BORIS. Perhaps with a bit lower on drinkability, but then again itβs been a while since I had one.

Bottle Pour. Pours inky black with a small tan head and some lacing. Aroma is rich molasses, light anise, heavy roast, baking cocoa, a bit of leather. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, rich and roasty. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Low carbonation, but that may be cause itβs a bottle pour.

From the tap at FOB, in Rimini, Italy. Pours black, with dark brown foam (limited). Aroma is complex, with roasted barley, honey, coffee. Body is dense and sticky. Taste is sweet (honey) at first sip, but in a few minutes a marked bitterness comes out that eventually overcomes the sweetness. Finish is long, with bitterness and chocolate.

Bottle thanks to Luke. Pours a pure black color with a small brown head. A big sweet chocolate and anise nose. The flavor is roast, vanilla, dark chocolate, light licorice, more marshmallow like vanilla. Quite good. A dry roasted malt and coffee finish. Lovely.
