Draught at The Merchant, Feb 2015
Pale golden body is clear topped by a small, white, moderately-well retained head.
Peaches, apricots, lime, lemon and more in this dry but very sniffable nose. The malt is all but gone, adding only touches of spongecake and crackery grains.
Fresh, juicy, dry hops in the mouth, highlighting grapefruit, lemons, black pepper and softer kiwi and lychee notes. Heavily attenuated malts do little other than scratch at the palate, and while its not thin thanks to tight carbonation, there is a fair amount of paper-like astringency on the end. With this low gravity of a beer, thats pretty forgivable. However, while i dont get any mop water, i do find some blandness or ever so slight dirtiness from the hops. Still quite delicious.
