440ml can. Pours black with loads of sediment, big beige head. Aroma of strong cherry liqueur, chocolate, marzipan. Taste is the same, getting a strong cherry liqueur vibe from this, marzipan, almond, some vanilla sweetness but a surprisingly bitter finish. Medium bodied. It's fine but not my thing really.

Keg @ Northern Monk Refectory, Manchester. Near black with a small lighter-brown head. Boozy, sweet strawberry, hints of coconut in both aroma and taste. Stout by name really, but very good nevertheless.

14/12/2024. Can shared by Colin, cheers. Pours close to black with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, rowntrees jelly, cherry coke, jelly tots, midget gems, cocoa, chocolate. Very sweet with moderate developing bitterness. Quite full bodied, smooth, soft carbonation. Intriguing drop, liked it.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Almost clear dark brown beer, small pale tan head.Light and semi dry palate, decent fine minerally carbonation. Mellow slightly thin chocolate malts, a thin creamy chocolate. Rich almondy cherry, a touch of Kirsch. Light and semi dry finish. A tad artificial overall, the almond cherry is hugely punchy but, despite the amplification, rather nice.

On tap at The Star & Garter, Bromley. Black pour with a beige head. Nose is dark chocolate, black cherry jam, raisin, prunes. Taste is caramel, chocolate cake, black cherry jam, raisin. Sweet warming mouthfeel. Lightly bitter linger. Good.

Can at home, from HOTM online, 09/11/24. Black with a khaki cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is big cherry blast, chocolate, dark malts, winter cheer, molasses. Taste comprises black forest gateaux, dark malts, cherry stones, brown sugar dusting, spice, booze, stewed fruits, molasses. Full bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Decent enough sipper ... does pretty much what it says on the tin if coming over a touch 1D.
