Quite hazy orange and raw honey coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall off-white head that fades relatively quickly. Aroma of astringent hops, some light citrus, a dose of biscuity and lightly bready malts with a smooth sweetness from fruit and light caster sugar noticeable. Medium-bodied; Relatively pungent astringent and grassy notes show through everything with a light metallic and more assertive grainy finish with some yeast, light bitterness and a bit more pronounced hop characteristics showing through with some light pine, but mostly a decidedly fruity and grassy character with the hops tending toward smooth than bitter. Aftertaste shows the grain and light biscuity notes, but only a dash of hop pungency in a smoother finish with a relatively simplex finish. Overall, a nicely layered and flavoured beer that shows perhaps a bit one-dimensional and easy than others from the style, with less of a bitter and hoppy characteristic than I expected, but shows nicely throughout. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from City Beer in San Francisco, California on 13-March-2019 for US$6,99 sampled at home in Washington on 23-June-2019.

Tap at the tasting room. Pours a lightly coppery tinged gold with a white head. Hazy it’s not. Somewhat juicy aroma. Med body. Flavor is lightly juicy citrus and tropical. If it is dank, it’s not so much as many. There’s lightly roasty malt support, a lot of fruit. Hoppy. Mostly citrus/tropical for me.

Bright, with some overripe mango, not bad. The big thing for me is a fairly weak malt and lack of complexity. The concept is a bit like breaking the wheel and fixing it the wrong way.

500 ml bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A mostly husky grainy nose with some tropical notes. Sweet, big hop notes, comes in round melon-like, no bitterness really, maybe some mild lemon, earthy grains. Husky. Very smooth.
