Can from Tsuda Saketen. Coronado Coco Chaos IPA Man coconut IPAs seem to be everywhere in Japan lately. This one when I cracked the van smelled like it had coconut juice in it, once in a glass it had a definite piña colada vibe. Medium bodied with a sharp dry finish and a fleeting hint of sweetness. The hops draw out pineapple and tropical fruits (mango?) while the coconut solidifies this being a tiki bar cocktail kind of brew. Very tasty but if I served this in a coconut with a little umbrella and said “here’s your cocktail” you’d believe me. They being said the body and finish remain beer like. A fun summer brew. I’m gonna drink one of these at the beach! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour is a hazy blonde with a large white head. Aroma is a decent hop with some lemon and lime. Not much coconut but a decent IPA aroma. Flavor is a pina colada. Some citrus from the hops and there is the coconut that was hiding in the aroma. A different take on a IPA that was decent. I liked this a whole lot better as it warmed, more of the coconut came out.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours juicy looking pale gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is tropical in a somewhat juicy way. Med body. Flavor is lightly juicy tropicals. Coconut is just barely there for me at first, but it seems to pop out a bit as the juiciness melts away. A good "modern" IPA. Quite tasty. Not at all harsh.
