Flavored porter, not a Belgian ale. 16 oz. can from The Bat Cave. Pours a really dark brown root beer color with a light tan head and decent retention. Almost no lacing. Molasses and dark fruit aroma. As advertised, flavors of dark chocolate, dark fruit, and some coffee notes. I should have read the can first; These are not my favorite flavors. Not getting any smoke or herb notes. All these flavors hide almost all the porter flavor. Medium body. Low carbonation with a slick mouthfeel. Low bitterness. A miss for me.
A deep dark porter with a thin mocha head. In aroma, nice chocolate malt with dark fruits, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, light mineral notes, faint licorice, ok. On tap at brewery.

Enjoyed at home on a lazy Monday night in February. Not sure if I'm liking this one. The dark fruit / chocolate mixture makes it feel maltier than others in the style, just has a weird aftertaste.
