[Cask at the Alehouse, Reading.] A bright reddish copper coloured pour with a trace of head; aroma of rye with a touch of red fruit; thick and syrupy in the mouth with berry fruit and caramel cut through with a resinous bitterness; then a long satisfying finish with rye spice and a gentle warmth. An excellent winter beer.

Cask at EBF Nov 21. Aroma combines caramel with pine. Opaque red tinged brown. Bubbly translucent beige head. Medium bitter. Herbs. Resin. Sweet tinged citrus sour streak. The bitterness gains intensity. Soft carbonation. Long astringent finish, with a drying effect. Enjoyable bitter Red IPA.
