A smooth, balanced bitter. Brewed with traditional English hop and malt varieties, Henry’s Ait is our take on the classic British Amber bitter. Aromas of nuts and winter berries combine with biscuit, caramel malt notes for an ale with herbal freshness & pleasing bitter finish.

Hops: Challenger, Golding, Target
Malts: Cara, Crystal, Roasted Barley, Maris Otter Pale

[50cl bottle from Chessington Garden Centre.] A gushing opening, but yielding a bright amber coloured pour with a scummy looking white head; hedgerow hop aroma; malty taste with an intense hoppy taste; and a nicely balanced finish with chewy caramel and a fresh hoppy bitterness.

Keg at EBF Nov 21. Malty fruity aroma in there somewhere. Clear copper gold. Thin bubbly translucent white head is patchy. Initial sourness. Citrus and herbs. Light bitter undertow. A touch of biscuity malts on the periphery. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Pleasant enough but not doing too much for me.
