A Citra led West Coast Pale made with legends Elusive. Citrus pith and pine notes, dank on the nose with resinous overtones. Crisp, dry mouthfeel with a firm bitterness.

Can from Grain Schooner. Hazy golden body with a loose white head. Steady carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of pine, lavender and liquorice root. Flavour of parma violets and grapefruit. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Citra is mentioned on the Duration website as being used in this beer, but I’m getting big Centennial vibes from it. Delicious.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Elusive online. Pours clear honey-good with a frothy, white head. Quite clean, some lean pale malts, white grape, nips of melon and pine. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Further notes of white grape to finish, dry pale malts, soft pine needles, lemon rind. Nice, easy-drinking pale.

Tap at Elusive. Fruity stone fruit and a touch of spice. Orange-gold with a light haze. Thick foamy white head. Medium bitter. Resinous. But there a fruity citrus tangy sour edge. Underlying hints of malts. Medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Good stuff. It pops.
