Bottle ordered from Noble Green Wines, Hampton. Aroma combines a nutrients with sweet edged bourbon bite. Underlying oaty creaminess. Glossy darkest opaque brown. Creamy if blotchy beige head. A vinous dark berry sourness. Underlying sweetness. But it's more juicy than peanut butter. The latter is more of a ghostly memory. Residual hints of bitterness. The borbon booziness is more obvious into the finish. Medium bodied. Creamy. Flat. Long astringent finish. Not what I was expecting, the peanut butter and cacao nibs are missing in action, particularly the latter. The bourbon, unsurprisingly, has a big impact. But the sourness was a surprise. Still... an enjoyable warming interesting beer.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours dark brown to black with a dissipating tan head. The aroma is bitter -sweet, roasted malt, earthy, big peanut butter character, chocolate cake, peanut butter cups, nutty and praline. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, rich roasted malt, chocolate cake, nutty, peanut nut butter cups, jammy, jelly, spicy, umami edge, touch of alcohol, liquorice, earthy, savoury, touch of acidity with a dry, roasty, nutty finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Strikes a nice balance. Moreish.

Pours a rich brown-black from a bottle. Vanilla and bourbon aroma, can't quite pick up on any peanut butter. Similar flavor. Good beer.

Pours mahogany-tinged black into a snifter. Mocha head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Molasses and chocolate aromas. Soft with dark alcohol-soaked pit fruit upfront turning to chocolate and mild peanut in the warm, lasting finish.
