Bottle from RHS Wisley, as Thoughtful Forager Roasted Coffee Stout. Aroma has coffee, nuts, cream and a liqourice tang. Pours cola brown. Opaque. Thin creamy translucent off-white head soon fades. Sour berries. Creamy sweetness almost hovers over the top before descending and taking the lead into the finish. Light bitterness throughout. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average carbonation. Long astringent finish. Fine although the astringent finish results in a real aftertaste.

330ml bottle - Pours a dark brown colour with a red tint and with a good sized beige head. Aroma is coffee and roasted malt with some lactic notes. A sweetish taste, creamy coffee and roasted flavours. Smooth in the mouth, medium body and a little bitterness at the end. Okay.

330ml bottle from Mitchells Wines Meadowhead - Deep brown body, tan head which lasts a bit. Toasty coffee nose, bit of burnt toast too. Taste is smooth and milky, coffee, little bitter kick at the end. Rather nice.
