BLU VIOLENT is a medieval blueberry ale conceived and brewed with the infamous Brewmaster Brian from Stillwater Artisanal Ales. Caramelized for hours in the kettle, then violently fermented to perfection with tons of blueberry - literally! Just the right amount of lime adds the artistic balance we sought, and a welcome depth of flavor.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Clear deep puple brown. Aroma of honey and blueberries. Extremely sweet with full body and viscous mouthfeel. Like a sweet blueberry mead; Balsamic honey, blueberry jam and extra sugar. Peppery alcohol in the finish. Crazy sweetness, but some redeaming features.

13.06.2018, tap @ Nedre Foss Grd:
Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, hazy dark reddish color. Aroma is slightly rich sour-ish fruity, sour dark berries, grass, dark sugar, minerals, alcohol, citrus, mild vinegar, fruit stones, berry skin, flowers, raisins. Taste is slightly sweet sour-ish fruity, sour dark berries, dark sugar, fruit stones, dark malts, mild vinegar, citrus, alcohol, minerals, raisins, grass. Medium bitterness, slightly sweet sour-ish fruity mouthfeel. Nice one. If I didn't know what I was served, and was told that this was a Superstition berry mead, I would totally believe so...
