Half pint from the cask at Leicester Indie Beer Festival, Thursday 26 June 2025. Pours a very dark brown with a white head. Aromas & tastes of chocolate, berries, brown sugar, coffee, nuts & roast malt. Medium to full body. Light bitter finish.

Cask, third pint. @Nottingham Beer Festival 2024, Nottingham (England). 12/10/2024 [#7.936 Global - #1.006 England - #1 Hall's Brewery (My English brewery #317)] Pours dark brown with a lacing tan head. Aroma: chocolate malts, burnt brown sugars and coffee beans. Taste: milk chocolate, americano coffee and brown sugars. Sweet palate. Next one, please!

10/10/2024. Cask at Nottingham Beer & Cider Festival 2024. Pours very dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is ashy, chocolate, caramel, light roasted malt, dark fruits, blackberry. Medium sweetness, light roasted bitterness. Moderate body, slightly watery, average to soft carbonation. Decent mild.

Cask at the Nottingham BF. Dark colour with a white head. Aroma a as taste are malty and slight bitter. Thin body.

Extremely dark mahogany brown topped with a beige head.
Nose is cocoa powder, dark malts, dried fruit esters, brown bread.
Taste comprises brown bread, fruit slice, herb, dark malts, toffee.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close.
Fine for the style.
