Handbottled. A deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, cocoa, and wheat. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, wheat, and some cocoa, leading to a dry finish both from the wheat and the cocoa. The body is light. Huge thanks for yespr for going to the effort of bringing it home.

From tap at YNWA. Pours hazy dark brown with a small, creamy and dense tan head. Aroma is mild fruity and cocoa. Toffee roasted malt. Rather fruity, yeasty and with a mild bitterness and light cocoa to toffee malt note. Lingering fruity and medium dry finish with a slight acidic touch. Somewhere inbetween strange, interesting and off.

Handbottle. Fruity aroma, berrylike, hint of yeast. The flavour is roasted and grainy, but also has a bit of wheatiness, both in mouthfeel and flavour. I cannot really taste cocoa, more like sourish roasted malt. Would have been more "classically German Dunkelweizen" without the cocoa.
