Draught, 5.0% at the Boston brewpub. Clear amber colour. Small tan head. The flavour starts off faintly roasted, turning bready and then a bit grainy.

A copper amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. Aroma of sweet caramel, with nice fruity esters and nutty notes. In mouth, a smooth nutty malt with nice lingering herbal hops, nice and nutty. Good. On tap at Rock Bottom Boston, July 1 2010.

Sampler from tap at the brewpub in Boston. Pours amber with a lacing head. Dry malty aroma. Flavour is caramel malty, slight roasted. Mild malty bitter finish.

Mixed anticipation for this one. I am not a great fan of ambers as I find them to be largely hit or miss in style. Draft. It poured a dark amber color with a small white head. There was a light sweet aroma. So far so good. The flavor was bitter and surprisingly bland on the front and then a malty, nutty taste came on for during the aftertaste. Ok but nothing special really.
