Same bottle as in photo. Pored into a Weizen glass. Nearly pitch black color. A brown hue around the edges; very minimal head. It did leave spotty lacing. Nose is sweet roasted malt The taste is not like a dunkleweizen, its more of a porter. No banana clove, bubblegum or wheat/ yeast at all. Dark fruit, roasted malt and a light touch of alcohol in the finish. A good brew, just not your traditional Dunkleweizen.

On tap at Sebago Portland , ME location. Pours out dark brown with some red highlights topped with a small sand head. Aroma was of sweet pit fruit, rich malts, nuts, and wheat. Taste was more of the sweetness. A nice light molasses note along with a nice full body.

Draught at the brewpub. Almost black colour, seems cloudy. Small stable light brown head. Very roasted flavour, vinous. Seems to have a little burning aftertaste, almost like chili or hopburn. Still balanced, though.
