Cask at London & North Western, Birmingham. Pours black with beige top. Quite roasted and liquorice noted with orange, blackcurrant, nuts, not much chocolate. Dry, near medium bodied, soft carbonation. Slick but slightly thin texture mid-sip. Quite flavoursome though.

Cask @ Museum, Newcastle-under-Lyme. Black with a light-brown creamy head. Easy enough stout with chocolate that lingers in its taste. Not much in its nose though.

On cask at the SO. Appearance - mat black, beige head. Nose - milk chocolate mainly. Taste - grapefruit and orange but then not much chocolate. Palate - light to medium bodied, then fresh finish. Overall - maybe want more from the base beer to stand up to the adjuncts.

Cask at Shrewsbury Hotel. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small tan head. The aroma is mainly malts with some fruity hints. In the mouth it is on the cusp between sweet and bitter and fluctuates between the two. It has a creamy texture but is also somewhat watery. Flavour of roasted malts and chocolate plus later on some hints of oranges and raspberries. Sweetness wins out in the finish. This is quite decent.

Near black with a frothy/creamy tan head. Hints of chocolate orange on the nose, smooth and silky with sweet orange and chocolate balanced out by slightly bitter roasted malt, some liquorice in the mix ahead of a very dry finish

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A glossy black pour with a ruby gleam and a tight tan head; fruity aroma; rather thin with a smooth malty body and a blood orange taste; then a dry finish with some bitter roasted malts.

Cask at the White Swan JDW, Solihull. Poured almost black in colour with a lasting frothy, light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light orange. The flavour is moderate to light liquorice bitter, with a smooth, somewhat light, roasty, light orange, earthy, light liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
