A rosey burgundy pink wit with no head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light cereals, light tropical fruits, cherry, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with resinous hops, light Italian herbs, light cereals, OK. On tap at Birroteca

(On tap at Bar Hop, June 19 2014) Pours a slightly cloudy darker brown with basically no head. Aroma has a little dried dark fruit, nutty, some caramel and light spice. On the palate, raisin, caramel, toasted nuts, a little sweet, more nuts and spice on the finish. Not as rich or cloying as some dubbels but not as flavorful either. Moderately full mouthfeel with little carb. Nothing bad here, but it didn’t really pop for me either - I felt is was nuttier than I expected and the wit didn’t seem to add much to the dubbel.

Just a heads up, not a retired beer, though now listed as colab with Jed Nad, otherwise seem the same. Bottle from brewery during the sick-time..2014 review: On tap at the Indie. And just a heads-up they had their 500ml-650ml? bottle of this brew to take it home. Described on the board as dubbel wit. Decent toated malt nose, dark, dark amber pour, with light brown head. Taste of lost of toasted malts, little green-pear like sourness, little yeast funk, that hangs around a bit.
